Meet Jocelyn Emerson
Rev. Jocelyn Emerson, a clergy member of the United Church of Christ (UCC), has always been a mystic and contemplative, finding wonder and delight in the magic and mystery of the world. She seeks direct encounters with the Great Spirit in her everyday life, her heart filled with gratitude for the small and fantastical miracles she regularly witnesses.
From the age of 8, she felt a strong pull towards spirituality and healing, naturally gravitating towards pastoral ministry as a way to live out her calling. She pursued her M.Div. at Union Theological Seminary in New York City and engaged in spiritual direction training with the Kairos School of Spiritual Formation in Lancaster, PA. While pastoring, she yearned to help congregations deepen their spiritual connection with the Sacred, but found that transitional pastoring, her focused area of ministry, posed challenges to this goal. She recently felt the invitation to leave pastoring and pursue her spirituality and healing as her business.
Weaving Sacred Spaces was launched! Here, she combines her training as a Light worker, Spiritual Director, Energy Coach, Reiki Master, Shamanic Healer, Crystal Healer, and Pastor with her life experience as a mystic to create a safe, trusting, and honest space to support you on your life’s journey.
A lifelong lover of labyrinths, she has recently embarked on a journey to become a certified labyrinth facilitator with Veriditas. Her passion for labyrinths has led her to seek them everywhere she goes, viewing them as a profound spiritual practice. She walks a labyrinth four or more times a week as time permits.
Recently, she has been drawn to explore the intersection of spirituality and science, studying the teachings of Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton, and Dr. Sue Morter. This study has enhanced her skills as an energy coach and Light worker.
And, she is an artist. Fiber arts are her passion, especially weaving and crocheting. She enjoys playing with and exploring various expressions of art. In this devotional, the readers experience the results of her playing with a new photo collage app, and engaging in an art-oriented spiritual discipline during 2025’s Lenten season.
